“I will pursue, towards the goal, for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:14)
Do you ever feel like you’re going in circles, not making any progress? At least not the kind of progress you were expecting? Expending a lot of physical and mental energy, but going nowhere? Wouldn’t it be awesome to know with certainty that you’re on the right path, making the right decisions, without second-guessing yourself or God?
We all want to know that we’re on the right path, that we’re doing the right thing, that we’re making the right decisions. We all desire the assurance and purposefulness of being able to say, “I was created for THIS. I’m doing what God commissioned me to do!”
Every one of us has been created unique in God’s sight. None of us are the same, but ALL of us have been given special gifts, talents, resources, tasks, and assignments to aid us in accomplishing specific things for God’s kingdom. There is something so empowering about the idea of knowing and pursuing what God has created you, purposed you, and commissioned you to do.
Discovering this commission, this purpose, begins with God and it’s through this relationship with Him that we become women of purpose, passion, and influence. Operating with God in our purpose makes everything bright, meaningful and filled with passion. This passion coupled with faith motivates us to dream the impossible, believing it is all possible. Stop and ask yourself: what am I pursuing? What is it that I really want? What motivates me?
Whatever your purpose is, it was given to you by God and it is He who gives you what it takes to fulfill it. All you need to do is surrender your heart’s desires and motivations to Him. To stay in close relationship with God, let’s start to make a daily habit of speaking to God through prayer, reading His messages in the Bible, and meditating on His daily blessings. Give Him permission to work it out! Give Him permission to bring it to pass! Will you do that? Okay, then…Mission Accomplished!!!

Reflect and respond:
1. What is one unique thing that God has designed you to do?
2. How can you take a step of faith to do more of that thing in the next month?
